Your condemnation of Paul was because he voted on cloture on the motion to proceed. That means he voted to bring it to the floor for debate so he could say why it should not be passed. You should not be condemning him for doing that; he has always said he would vote against the bill, and he did.

Re: More Than 20 Republican Senators Vote For Cloture On Comprehensive Immigration Reform (UPDATED: Roll Call added)

You, sir, need to check your facts.

The roll call vote I was referring to took place on 11 June (same date as this post) and is number 146. There is a link in the article above, but I'll give you another one here for your convenience.

You will see if you look that Senator Paul is indeed listed as a "Yea" vote in the vote I was referring to.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. Kindly make sure you know what you're talking about before you open your mouth on my blog again.

Re: More Than 20 Republican Senators Vote For Cloture On Comprehensive Immigration Reform (UPDATED: Roll Call added)

You need to get your facts straight instead of disparaging Mr. Paul with the wrong list. Rand Paul voted against both cloture and passage, as is listed in the official Senate record on their website. You also left out Murkowski, who actually voted Yae for both cloture and passage. I stopped counting inaccuracies in your list at that point, but I'd suggest not posting slanderous info. http://www.senate.gov/legis...

Re: More Than 20 Republican Senators Vote For Cloture On Comprehensive Immigration Reform (UPDATED: Roll Call added)

I read Goldwaters book, Conscience of a Conservative, copyright about 1960. Its a very short book, to the point and highly illustrative of how far the Republican party has come in 50 years. You are 100% accurate. The Repugs are now Demons and the Demons are now full blown socialists. Its easy to locate and secure that book from the library. You will be absolutely amazed at how far the Republican party has come in 50 years. I want to make your acquaintance as I do of any Americans that are informed and awake.

Re: It’s Time To Fight!

It's kind of an all-inclusive package. Does it really matter where the Federal Monster gets its money? If the government borrows trillions of dollars from the future no big deal. Hey, here is big check for "deficits don't matter" Cheney. But heaven forbid current taxes go up. The issue is not how the Federal government is financed: current taxes, future taxes, or printing money. Raising taxes is bad economic policy, but it is not the underlying problem. The problem is the SPENDING!

Re: GM Bailout Could Be Undone By Same Judge That Allowed It

YES, my family had about 500K in a secured bond with them when they flipped the rules on bankruptcy and screwed them. Their labor costs in the US are still 50% higher than their competition and their Euro marketing group is on their last breath. In addition, the UAW effectively controls the GM board, given the seats they've been given and the seat the US government holds, and they will certainly vote those shares (almost 1/3 of the total outstanding) in favor of whatever the UAW wants.

I hope the judge overturns the whole package.
